Before the dream of growing Christmas trees on a farm could be realized, and we were just two kids renting an apartment in the city, we opened Al's Christmas Tree Lot. Our mission was to create an environment that felt as enchanting as hiking through the woods on the search for the perfect tree right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. After spending our first year in Watertown, we made the move to Worcester where we've found a home in the Canal District at Crompton Place.
In June 2016 we purchased our farm in West Brookfield, MA and in April 2017 we planted our first 500 trees. While we won't be open for u-cut business for a few years, our farm stand will be open with premium fresh-cut trees, wreaths, and more all grown and sourced from our neighbor farms in Massachusetts.
Community is important to us year round, but the holidays are a great time to be reminded to shop local, support small business, and enjoy the place in which you are rooted. We're excited to continue spreading cheer with our friends in Worcester and at Bell Brook Farm in West Brookfield.
2.5% of all tree sales in Worcester be donated to the Canal District Alliance. From the year-round farmers market, to horse-drawn historical wagon tours, to economic development, events, and streetscape improvements, the Canal District Alliance has been working hard to revitalize and stimulate the Canal District area of Worcester enhancing the community for all.
2.5% of all tree sales in West Brookfield will be donated to New Entry's Sustainable Farming Project. A local organization that trains successful farm “agripreneurs" and provides support such as connecting new producers to farmland in communities across Massachusetts. Through one of their many programs, we created our business plan.
We welcome friendly dogs at our lot and our farm however, they must remain under control and be leashed at all times. You may even get to meet our dogs, Bandit and Kipper who've been selling trees with us since the start.
